Following a sold-out theatrical premiere and successful limited
run in Hawaii, PLANKENSTEIN: A KILLER SURF MOVIE! is now available to stream worldwide on
Amazon Prime, Fandango, TubiTV, PlutoTV, Vimeo, and Bloodscream.

The film, created entirely with a 100% local Hawaiian cast and crew, kicked off its theatrical run with a
sold-out red carpet world premiere at Kailua Cinemas on November 8th, followed by a well-attended
week-long run. The movie then traveled to the Big Island for two successful screenings—one at Honoka'a
People's Theater and another at the Aloha Theater. Another Big Island showing is scheduled for
December 4th at Hilo Palace Theater, with a Los Angeles screening on December 11th at Factory Fest.

"Plankenstein" marks the birth of a new horror sub-genre: the surfboard slasher. Set against the backdrop
of Kailua, Oahu, this gnarly film follows the carnage unleashed by a cursed surfboard as it protects a the
Hawaiian royal heir through a series of gruesome, darkly comic murders.

Critics are calling it Epic! "A gore filled romp...a future cult classic" raves Dread Central. The Inertia
proclaims, "Move over Big Wednesday, there's a new classic in the surf film canon," while Film Threat
notes, "This is a film made for fun to be fun with."

Directed by Diq Diamond (Potluck With Smooch, Tales of the Circle Keys), the film stars Amy Jennings
(A Place Among The Dead) as Police Captain Miller, Alex Dayuha (Red One) as local surfer Kalani, and
introduces Leilani Ramos as Lili, the unsuspecting heir to the Hawaiian throne.

The film pays homage to Hawaiian culture and mythology, interweaving ancient curses, local legends,
and the modern surf scene. Made entirely with local Hawaiian talent both in front of and behind the
camera, "Plankenstein" is a true product of the islands.

Director Diamond's inspiration came from a battered surfboard he rescued from Oahu's North Shore. "I
repaired it with metal hinges and twine, creating a Frankensteinian board that sparked the idea for
Plankenstein," Diamond explains.
